A blanket for Brayden

Bryce watched dad cover Brayden up with a blanket and Bryce ran over to the drawer under the tv and said "I'll get a blanket for Brayden!"...he dug through the drawer and pulled out the microfiber cleaning cloth for our electronics. He placed it very gently on him and was very pleased with himself for helping!

Uncle Damian and Aunt Katie with Brayden

baking with gigi

Bryce and gigi made special sugar cookies...bryce picked out a car, firetruck, and pine tree cookie cutter. he really enjoyed putting the sprinkles on the cookies, but his favorite part of the process was taste testing. He has been asking for multiple cookies throughout the day now...must be tasty!

My first bath

brayden is getting ready for his first bath at home. he didn't mind his bath at all and really enjoyed getting his hair washed :) bryce kept him company by coloring next to him while he had his bath.

measuring

bryce decided to take out his measuring tape and measure brayden...he told me his leg was "one inch" and his arm was "38 inches". bryce and brayden will stare at each other while bryce talks and sings twinkle twinkle to him. the other day bryce was adoring his baby brother and said, "brayden, do you know I love you?!"

Baby Bro Brayden Drew Ensign

Brayden was born on Friday morning October 14th at 7:37 am. He was 8 lbs 3 oz which is almost two full pounds more than Bryce was. Mom and baby are doing fine. A little scare with Brayden's temperature regulation but it seems to be resolved now. Thanks for all the well wishes and gifts we certainly are going to enjoy our two beautiful boys.

Like father, like son

One of the many tricks dad has taught Bryce is a joke that dad always tricks mom with. Bryce loves to pretend like you have something on your shirt and ask "What's on your shirt?" When you look at your shirt he says, "boop, got your nose!". He still has trouble poking your nose and not your eye however. The first two times he attempted this trick he got mom right in the eye!

The movies!

we took Bryce to the movie theater this weekend just in case it was our last weekend as a family of three :) We had a special time and all had a great time. Bryce heard people munching on popcorn and candy during the movie and kept asking, "dada, can i have a snack please?" You know you're loved when dad goes out during the movie and gets a 5 dollar bag of candy for you! He was quite content after his snack.

love for letters

Bryce loves the alphabet and anything to do with letters and spelling. He often will just start singing at any moment. This morning at breakfast he decided to sing his abc's. He also loves to sing, "I love to spell, s-p-e-l-l!" many times throughout the day.

"Don't touch"

Bryce often repeats what we have said to him in past situations...he really has quite the memory! Dad said "don't touch" one night and Bryce started laughing and saying, "don't touch" just like dad. he thought this was too funny.

camping out

Bryce loves his Handy Manny tent. He wanted to have a camp out and sleep in his Handy Manny tent all night. When I woke him up the next morning he was still in the tent. he looked at me and said, "Mama, my body hurts!" I tried to warn him the night before that the floor might not be so comfy, but I guess he had to see for himself. He hasn't asked to sleep in his tent again but has opted for his comfy bed!

"What is it?"

Bryce got a special big brother gift from one of mom's coworkers this weekend. He was so excited to have a gift to open and kept saying "what is it?" over and over. He was happy to find a dinosaur, some stickers, and a coloring pad.
