Bryce's birthday

Bryce and dad had their birthday celebration at home a few days early. bryce was very excited when he saw all of his presents. He chose chicken nuggets, french fries, apple slices, and a juice box for his special birthday dinner. He loved all of his gifts and even helped dad open his gifts too

brothers

Bryce loves that Brayden is starting to stay awake more and play. Bryce likes to show him how he kicks a football and shoots a basketball.

My big boy...

Ever since Bryce began potty training dad would sing this song to him when he was done. Bryce just started singing it one day, 'my big boy went to the potty today, I'm so happy yeah yeah yeah!'. we laughed when we heard him and he smiled and asked us, "what's that funny for guys?", a classic bryce question when he knows he has done something cute that made us laugh.

Little Kentucky Fan

Brayden got a Kentucky Wildcats outfit from Aunt Darlys and Uncle Michael...we think he looks great in Kentucky blue!

1 month old

We can't believe Brayden is 1 month old already! He is now 10 lb and 22 inches long.

Brothers

Bryce loves being a big brother and loves to read Brayden books in the morning. Brayden loves to listen and seems very curious already!

"look mom, a big tower!"

Bryce and I decided to bake some pumpkin bars one morning. As I was gathering the rest of the ingredients from the cupboard I returned to find that Bryce had made a big tower out of the spices. Thankfully he didn't decide to crash the tower as is often the case with his towers made of blocks.

The bathtub

Brayden was not sure what to think of his first bath in the bathtub. He was much happier once the bath was done and he was wrapped up in a warm blankie!

Our boys :)

Mom tried to get some pictures of the two boys today. What I didn't count on was having the freshly ironed sheet (being used as our portrait backdrop) being quite so cool to Bryce. As soon as he saw it he grabbed it and wrapped himself up in it and started giggling. It was a challenge to keep a 2 week old and a 3 year old content at the same time but we did manage to get a few pictures with both boys cooperating! When we were done I think they were both wondering when mom was going to make them do this again! (probably soon :))

Sledding

bryce thought it was great getting pulled around in his sled in the backyard. He fell out a few times but just got back up and wanted to go for another sled ride and giggled the whole time.

Snowball fight

Bryce had fun having a snowball fight with mom and dad. He has a good arm and good aim!

Bryce's snowman

Bryce and mom built a snowman this weekend! Bryce loved the snow again and was especially thrilled to have a big backyard to play in. He thought it was great to go down the slide in his turtle pool and get sled rides from dad! He also loved building this snowman. Dad added the pheasant wings for the arms which Bryce thought was cool but mom didn't really appreciate as much :)

Laughing with dad

Bryce thought dad was too funny today. Dad had gone pheasant hunting earlier in the day and brought some pheasants home. Yes, Mom made him clean them outside despite the cold weather. Bryce was knocking on the door and laughing because dad was pretending to fly with the bird feathers he had removed from the pheasant...mom said yuck and bryce laughed even harder!

Flashcard Frenzy!

Bryce loves his flashcards...and of course he has to have them all out at the same time. He spends alot of time sorting through them...and alot of time picking them back up when he is done with them.

Bryce's birthday list

Bryce loves looking at the toys r us big toy book and letting mom and dad know what he likes. He already has a pretty long birthday list!

"Yum!"

bryce must have seen dad drink the milk from the bowl after finishing his cereal at some point...this was the first time Bryce had done this and he didn't waste any milk. He drank it all up and took his bowl promptly to the sink. He is great at clearing his dishes from the table :)

Playing

Bryce was very excited to see that Brayden was going to play with his hippo gym. Bryce jumped right in and was shaking rattles and playing music for Brayden. He was very helpful and both boys had fun together!

Good morning!

Brayden was wide awake this morning after a restful night of sleep!

Fast asleep

Brayden is fast asleep with his arms stretched out...just how Bryce used to sleep as a baby :)

Worn out

Bryce occasionally will be heard reading and playing during his naptime. One day I went to check on him and found him fast asleep with books piled in his bed. He was lying on some and must have really worn himself out.

bryce's laptrack

Dad invented this lap desk with a racetrack on top...which he calls a laptrack! He designed it so bryce could have his racetrack and cars to play with on car rides. Bryce enjoys playing with it in the house as well.

Singing to Brayden

Bryce loves to sing to Brayden. Today it was the abc's that he wanted to sing to him. He loves to give him kisses and talk with him every now and then even when Brayden is sleeping.

A big mess

Bryce informed me as he raced car after car down the hallway that he was making a big mess...good thing he likes to sing his clean up song he learned at church and pick up the cars when he is done making a mess!

A Saturday stroll!

Bryce took Brayden for his first walk outside this past Saturday. He pushed the stroller the whole way around the neighborhood and had a great time :)
