"I look sharp!"

After getting a haircut, a bath, an ear cleaning, and fingernails and toenails trimmed Bryce said to me, "I look sharp mom!"

Our handsome 5 month old

Brayden turned 5 months old yesterday. He is eating down cereal and fruit with delight and is soon to start trying some veggies. He is rolling over like a pro now. Of course I am always making a bottle, helping Bryce in the bathroom, or making dinner when he decides to roll over. I have never once seen him roll over... I just come back in the room to find him on his belly. Dad saw him roll over once but we have yet to capture this milestone on video!

Reading

Bryce is reading to Brayden...who is not as interested in books as Bryce was or still is but will listen to the occasional story from his big brother.

???

As we all know Bryce is spunky and high energy...this makes for great entertainment for Brayden. He doesn't get startled by Bryce but sometimes gives him a 'what are you doing?' kind of a look...we love our boys!

Daddy's boy

Brayden is a daddy's boy...he loves to smile and laugh with dad. He had a long day at church and cuddled up with dad and fell asleep this Sunday :)

Happy baby

brayden is such a happy baby. He loves his jungle gym and will talk and talk while playing. I came back into the living room today to find Bray had managed to collapse the jungle gym and was laying on top of it somehow. He never cried or fussed....still as happy as can be!

socks

Bryce hates wearing socks and you will most likely always find him running around the house barefoot. He also has this habit of throwing his socks behind the recliner after he takes them off. I was putting some laundry in the dryers upstairs and came back down to find Brayden barefoot and his socks nowhere in sight. I knew right where to look but Bryce said, "mom, just wait, don't look where I'm going. I'll get Bray's socks!" He must think I don't know where he tosses them :)

The boys

Bryce and Bray were relaxing in the recliner this morning. Bray kept leaning over and grabbing Bryce's pjs. Bryce was getting upset asking Bray, "Bray, why are you pulling my pjs?" Bray would just look at him and smile. He loves when Bryce talks to him. I think he's preparing so he can keep up with Bryce when they get older :)

Brayden started to not want his pacifier a month or so ago. Today, I walked into the living room to find him sucking his thumb.

The boys with their quilts :)

I made each of the boys their own quilt. Brayden's is working great...any baby spit-up wipes right off the flannel :) And Bryce got a tic tac toe quilt. Of course such a unique boy needs such a unique quilt. He didn't want one with his name on it he said since he already had his "b-r-y-c-e" bag. When I finished his quilt we wound up playing 20+ games of tic tac toe and he told me, "wow, thanks mom, this is just so beautiful!"

Brayden's blankie

Brayden loves these little blankies that he has. He especially loves to chew on the puppy's ear. Hopefully this doesn't turn into another mammy that gets lost in the wrapping paper...I think those involved that Christmas know what I'm talking about :)

4 months

Brayden had his 4 month appt on Valentine's day. Bryce did most of the talking at the appt and even got a cars 2 sticker for being such a great big brother. Brayden weighed in at 16 lb and 26 1/2"...right on target.

Cereal

Brayden started cereal last week. He eats it right down and is enjoys every last bite...I have to scrape the bowl out to get every bit like I did with Bryce :)

Bryce says Brayden is the king

Bryce grabbed Bray's teether the other day and carefully placed it on Brayden's head stating, "Mom, Brayden is the king!" I love the exasperated look on Brayden's face like he has had enough of this game.

Bug-a-boo

Bray loves when we call him bug-a-boo...but even more when we call him bug-a-bug-a-bug-a-boo. He thinks it is just hilarious and always sports a huge smile...and his adorable double chin :)

"can I feed Braybray mom, pleaseee?'

The racetrack

Bryce is thrilled that Brayden is finally starting to play along with him. They both love this racetrack that Brayden got for Christmas. They will both watch the cars go round and round waving their arms in excitement. Brayden loves to watch the racetrack and sometimes likes to watch Bryce dance around in excitement too!

brothers

Bryce said to me this morning, begging..."mom, can I feed Braybray and pat him on the back...pleaseeeee?" I said sure and he hopped right up on the couch and put his arms out to hold Bray. After about 15 minutes of feeding Bray he said to me in a serious tone..."mom, my arm and my leg hurt a little". I told him it was probably from holding Bray and I told him I would take him...Bryce said, "no that's okay, my arm and leg hurt because I just love Braybray." I gave him a break to let his arm and leg regain feeling while I burped Bray and then Bryce fed him the rest of his breakfast.

Whistling

There's something about whistling that Bray finds to be just hilarious :)

Aunt Kristie and Bray

Bray loves his Aunt Kristie!

Bryce and aubrey

Bryce and aubrey love chasing each other...and giggling...and chasing each other some more. They both have so much energy but they decided to take a quick break to get a pic in the rocking chair. They are great buddies.

Great Grandparents

Bryce and Bray loved visiting great mommom and great poppop. Bryce told poppop "thanks for building things"...he loved his bryce sized chair from poppop and the tile in the bathroom that he said poppop built. He also loved the pillow that mommom was sewing for him...all in all he thought they were just awesome.

Family

Aubrey, Bryce, Brayden, and Samuel taking a picture with their moms :)
