The best part...

I told Bryce the best part about making rice krispie treats was eating the leftovers out of the pan....he agreed!

Rainy day picnic

The boys had a picnic lunch together in the living room on this rainy day.

The kiddie table

All of the cousins enjoyed sitting and eating dinner together at their special table.  The next morning Bryce and Bray sat and had breakfast together before church.

Aunt Kristie and the kids

All the kids loved playing together this weekend.  Aunt Kristie was great with the kids outdoors and played alot of games of Kerplunk with the kids indoors.

Party!

We had a party to celebrate Aunt Kristie receiving her Master's Degree.  The kids really enjoyed the cooking themed party.  They all wore their chef hats and aprons and decorated some beautiful cupcakes.

Bryce's kindergarten concert

Bryce performed with some of his kindergarten class last week.  They sang lots of great songs and Bryce did a great job.  One of the teachers commented on how expressive Bryce was while performing.  He did have some great dance moves on stage!

Memorial Day Parade

The boys really enjoyed the Memorial Day Parade this year.  Brayden loved the fire trucks and Bryce loved the candy :)

Backyard fun

We enjoyed this rare 80 degree April day this weekend with the boys.  brayden loves the kangaroo climber and will climb up to go down the slide for hours.  He also loves his lawnmower and will do laps around the deck.  We had dinner outside this day...guess who wouldn't stop to eat a bite? :)...not even for ice cream!

Leaving the playground...

Brayden is never ready to leave the playground or come inside from playing outside.  On this day we started walking to the car and put him down for a minute to take a picture of Bryce.  As soon as we put him down he started running as fast as he could back to the playground :)

Silly face

Bryce loved this huge painted map of the United States at the playground...I asked him to stand where he lives and make a silly face :)

Playground

Bryce and Brayden love going to the playground . they especially love the slides.  Brayden loves the little playground that he can play on all by himself.  He climbs the steps, goes down the slide, runs in a circle and goes back to the steps to do the same things over and over.  Bryce loved this super steep slide the best.  Bryce told me he wants to play on every elementary school playground in our district this summer.  So far we have taken them to 3 of the 4 so he is pretty happy.  He said this playground was his favorite so far.

Sidewalk chalk

Bryce and Brayden enjoyed coloring with sidewalk chalk after school this day.  Of course they had to both try to color in the exact same spot in the driveway.  Bryce became concerned later because Bray kept running towards the end of the driveway towards the road.  He drew an arrow pointing to the road and then wrote " don't go this way, dangerous".  He said that was a reminder for Bray to stay out of the road.  He is a great big brother!

Time for Tee ball

Bryce is playing tee ball this year. He is having a great time practicing and can't wait for a real game.

Pajama day!!!

Today was pajama day at school! Bryce was very excited and when I asked to take a picture he asked if he could make any face he wanted for the picture.  I said sure and this was the result.  He is such a character :)

Relaxing!?

I found Bray sitting in dad's recliner relaxing one evening...which is very unusual for Brayden!

The fort

I made a fort for the boys one Saturday.  Bryce read books to his stuffies in the fort while Bray worked on puzzle after puzzle.

Waiting...

When the doorbell rings for any of Bray's therapy he gets very excited and runs right to the door to wait.  This morning he heard the car pull in the driveway and waited at the screen door while his OT got her toys out of her car.

Bray and Freddie

Bray loves Freddie the Frog that Papa made for him.  He usually likes to have a treat when he takes Freddie out for a walk.

Curling up with little blue truck

I found Bray one morning curled up on the couch reading little blue truck...his favorite!  little blue truck has been duct taped together multiple times and we recently had to duct tape the sequel little blue truck leads the way together too.  He uses them in physical therapy while he does his work...his physical therapist has them memorized :)

Indoor fun

It was so cold in February this year that a few days we had to bring the snow inside so we could stay warm.  Bryce played for hours making all sorts of creations and measuring the snow every now and then.  For a few weeks everything he talked about was measured in meters.  He would say, "wow mom, you just walked 1000 meters, you must be exhausted" or " oh man, my drink is 20 meters away from me, that's a bummer".  I asked him if he was learning about meters in school and he said no he had heard about it on homework hotline...one of his favorite shows to watch after school :)

February snow

We got a few big snowstorms in February.  The boys had fun playing outside.  Bryce also helped me shovel the driveway alot.  One time when he was helping he got thirsty and told me he was just going to eat some snow.  I told him to just eat the clean white snow and he said, "Don't worry mom, I already spit out the chewy part in the last bite !".

Happy Meal!

Bryce and Bray love when we stop after church on Sundays and get them a Happy Meal to take home.  Last Sunday Andrew ran into McDonald's quick to grab two happy meals.  While we waited in the van I told Bray that dad was going in to get him a happy meal.  He smiled and signed "eat please".  I said dad would be out soon and he blew me a kiss.  Bray loves the apple slices and apple juice best and Bryce...I found him licking the ranch dipping sauce out of the container so I suppose that's his favorite part of the
meal :)

Reading together

Brayden and Bryce love to read together.  Bray will often bring Bryce a book and sign "please" to Bryce.  Bryce is a great big brother and will sit down and tell Bray to sit in his lap.  When the book is finished Bray will either sign "more" or run and get another book for Bryce to read.  If Bryce is reading any of the Little Blue Truck books Bray will always ask for "more" !

March madness!!!

Bryce noticed that I had filled out a bracket for March Madness and was playing against Papa Putzke.  He wanted to fill out a bracket and get in on the competition too.  He is having lots of fun watching the games with us and highlighting his wins.

Making brownies for dad

Bryce wanted to make a special treat for dad when he got home from school one day.  He decided to make chocolate chip brownies and did all the work himself....he even washed up all the dishes he used.  Dad loved the brownies!
