Cape Cod beach

The boys enjoyed playing at the beach and collecting shells.

Lunch at the Lobster Boat

We went to lunch at a restaurant called the Lobster boat.  Bryce thought the pizza he had was the best he ever tasted and loved that it was served on a frisbee that he got to take home.  Brayden was happy looking out over the water and playing with his CAT construction machine.  At one point I turned to see him rolling the CAT on the back of the man's chair sitting behind him and about ready to roll it right up his back...caught him just in time!

The Cape Cod Potato Chip Factory

We went on the factory tour to see how Cape Cod chips were made.  Both the boys loved watching the tour but enjoyed the free samples best at the end of the tour...so much so that we went twice!

Mini golf

Playing mini golf in Cape Cod at the wild animal lagoon...Brayden was not too fond of the water features here but enjoyed the animals.  And Bryce loves mini golf anywhere, anytime :)

On our way to Cape Cod!

Brayden was very relaxed in his carseat on the car ride to Cape Cod this summer.

Boat cruise with Nana and Papa

We went on a boat cruise in Old Forge with Nana and Papa.  Brayden snuggled up with Papa and Bryce sat with Nana and took some pictures of the scenery.  After a while we took the boys to the lower level and let them pick some snacks.  I'm not surprised at their choices...Brayden chose Reese's cups and Bryce chose Doritos :)

Dinner time and wacky stories!

The cousins enjoyed eating dinner together outside while in Old Forge.  This night they decided to each tell a wacky story.  Bryce is still telling me, "no one laughed at my story and it had some really funny parts!".  According to Bryce...Jacob had the wackiest story of the night.

The beach in Old Forge

Bryce and Bray enjoyed playing at the beach in Old Forge.  Brayden soon had this fellow beachgoer and his mom retrieving toys for him that he threw in the water :)

Brayden and the slide

Brayden loves slides! He climbs up and looks like he is going to go down fine but when you turn away he often will go down backwards on his belly :)

Fun outside

Bryce is enjoying the warm weather.  He as lots of fun running through the sprinkler, playing in the pool and sliding down the slip and slide.

4th of July

The boys loved the fireworks this year.  Bryce commented about how cool almost every firework was...especially the smiley face that was upside down.  We gave Brayden a cookie right before the fireworks started.  He saw the first firework go off and loved it.  He held on tight to his cookie but never took a bite or moved until the fireworks were done.

Fun at Harris Hill!

Bryce and Bray love when we go to Harris Hill for the day.  They both enjoyed the rides and mini golf this year! Bryce's favorite ride is the Whip.  Bray loved the trains and boats.

Tee ball trophy

Bryce got his tee ball trophy in June.  He did a great job and is looking forward to next year's season.

Brayden's new bed!

Brayden is sleeping in his toddler bed now and loves it.  He usually will play until it gets dark and then hop into bed for the night.  The first night we found all sorts of puzzle pieces, train tracks, and books in bed with him.  He loves climbing in and out of his car bed and wore himself right out.

Johnny Tractor

Brayden loves Johnny Tractor.  He will play with Johnny Tractor for hours taking him everywhere.  He got another Johnny Tractor set from the store one night and he hugged the box in the car on the way home.

Bryce's graduation party!

The four of us celebrated Bryce's kindergarten graduation last week.  He decided to have dad bring home some Little Ceasar's pizza for dinner.  Mom made some Cupcake ice cream cones for dessert...which Brayden clearly loved.  He enjoyed getting some candy awards, his diploma, and some special gifts.  He is already talking about how much fun first grade is going to be with his new classmates!

Puzzler!

Bryce really enjoys working on Mario puzzles with mom.  He was fitting pieces left and right...and always has alot to talk about when we are working together :)

Bryce's last day of Kindergarten!

Bryce had his last day of Kindergarten today and is looking forward to first grade.  He was so excited he could barely eat any breakfast much like the first day of kindergarten.  He had his yearbook in his bookbag all ready for his friends to sign...ready for a great last day!

Relaxing

Bray is relaxing for a few seconds before he takes off again :)

JELLO ice

Bryce and Bray building some towers and making a racetrack with JELLO ice on a hot day!

Brayden and the slide

Brayden loves the big slide we have on our swingset.  One afternoon I asked him to stay in the pool with Bryce and off this slide for a while.  He played in the pool for a few minutes then he signed, "eat, please" to me.  I stepped onto the deck to get him some crackers and as soon as my back was turned he went running for the slide.  He never did want anything to eat...

Puzzles!!!

Brayden loves puzzles!  He loves the wooden peg puzzles but has recently started loving the old wooden tray puzzles.  I found a few of these after alot of searching and we got them in the mail yesterday.  As soon as I got them out of the box to clean them he was signing "please" to me so he could use one.  After I got them all cleaned up I found him surrounded by the puzzles quite content.

Pudding finger painting

I made some pudding finger paints for the boys to use outside.  Bryce dove right in and was painting in no time.  Brayden wasn't interested but enjoyed watching Bryce paint.

Fun in the pool!

We have been enjoying the slide and kiddie pool this week after school.  Bryce loved it when I filled it up with bubbles but Brayden wasn't too sure and sat at the top of the slide for a long time before he decided to give it a try.  After one try there was no stopping Brayden...he loved it.  Bryce kept asking me if I was going to go down the slide into the pool...I told him I was happy just putting my feet in the pool :)

When I grow up...

We are going to ask Bryce what he wants to be when he grows up at the end of each school year.  This year he decided he wanted to be a doctor when he grows up.  It was a tough decision for him.  He was deciding between a scientist, chemist, or a doctor.  After taking this picture he got his Drs. bag and gave everyone a checkup.
