"Yummy!"

bryce is not much of a sweets eater but really enjoyed these brownies made with black beans! he kept exclaiming, "yummy, mama, really really good!"

Picking berries

Bryce enjoyed picking berries but especially enjoyed the big tractor he saw and the wide open patches of land!

Picking berries at PennVermont!

we decided to go pick some berries from our local growers this weekend. upon arriving at the counter and before heading out to pick berries bryce exclaimed to the woman at the stand "I want some strawberries and blueberries please!" We headed out to pick strawberries first which bryce did a great job with. he really just wanted to carry the container of strawberries around and count them as we added more to the container. We were both quite surprised that he didn't try to eat any of the berries. We moved on to black raspberries next...bryce kept wanting to pick the red ones on the bush (the strawberries, he said). when we told him you have to pick the black ones he gave it a try and didn't care for the berry juice on his hands. I took him out and he had a great time chatting with the owner of the place. He even enthusiastically recited his abc's for her!

Cars 2

Bryce is seconds away from heading out the door with mom and dad to see "Cars 2" on opening day! He couldn't stop talking about it once i told him where we were headed....which is also why he didn't find out until a few minutes before :) while getting the movie tickets he kept repeating "I want to see cars 2!" to the cashier.

PJs and rain boots

We had to drop the car off to get fixed this night and bryce decided he wanted to wear his pjs and rain boots in the car. he put his rain boots on all by himself...and even though they were on the wrong feet insisted on leaving them that way. He is quite independent!

target

bryce and I often go to target for shopping needs of all kinds as its quite close to our house. He has come to know some of the workers well and will often get a sticker from them. On one shopping trip he was chatting away with one of the workers, got his sticker and was very content. i looked down later as people were chuckling to find that bryce had placed the sticker square between his eyes and was chattering away.

"how 'bout we go that way!"

bryce loves happy meals consisting of chicken nuggets, apple slices and milk. Any fast food establishment will do. When driving by any of these restaurants he will say, "how 'bout we go that way. get a hanny meal!" And we often have to say no, not today. when we do stop and get a special treat, he becomes very excited shouting "i love hanny meals!" to the person at the window.

Bryce got this new watering can from papa and gigi. It's the perfect size for him to help water the vegetables in the garden. He spends alot of time tending to the garden.

Handy Man

Bryce loves testing out the riding lawn mowers when we visit lowes. Looks like he has the hang of it already!

The slides

bryce loved the slides at the playground. his two favorites were the curly slide and the tunnel slide which he went down again and again!

Cooling off

bryce got quite warm climbing and running through the playground. in an attempt to get him to cool off for a few minutes mom and bryce went on the swings. The higher mom went, the more he giggled!

Tire swing

Bryce really liked the tire swing because it reminded him of the movie "cars". He had a fun time with dad.

Climbing, climbing

There are tons of activities and slides around the playground...but Bryce just wanted to climb the stairs and go through tunnels exploring! He's very quick and that made for a very tired mom and dad.

Bryce is reading his favorite little critter books. He loves to sit and read the stories himself and always includes the title followed by, "by Mercer Mayer" (he always adds extra enthusiasm when saying the author's name :) )

Little Critter

Bryce loves the little critter books by mercer mayer. He likes to read along with me and can sometimes recite the entire page. When reading the storybook collection like mom and bryce did this night...there's no skipping any of the stories...bryce makes sure we read all seven stories in the collection.

"alright, smoothie time!!!"

Bryce loves it when i get the blender out to make smoothies. He watches me add all the ingredients and when i get the glasses out he shouts, "alright, smoothie time!" Here he is enjoying a smoothie popsicle...one of his new favorite treats to have.

Loving the alphabet

Bryce loves the alphabet and was singing that while putting his disney alphabet puzzle together tonight!

nap time

With the temp breaking 100 in our area this week along with the added humidity, Bryce's bedroom on the second floor has not been used much. I asked him one afternoon if he could take his nap on the couch downstairs because his room was too hot. He said "okay mama" and hopped right up. i turned some music on for him and he fell fast asleep. i think the heat may have worn him out quite a bit!

Heat wave

During the last heat wave Bryce still wanted to be outside playing. After supper one night we decided to let him go out and play...the only way for him not to overheat was to run through the sprinkler in his diaper and crocs.

A Handy Manny lunch

Bryce asked very politely if he could bring pat, stretch and the manny car to lunch with him. He offered some of his sandwich to stretch and chips to pat but didn't seem to want to share the strawberries and blueberries :)
