Happy Easter!

Bryce and Brayden had a great Easter this year.  Bryce woke me up and said we had better check to see if the Easter bunny made it to our house.  He was happy to see the Easter bunny left him some candy and a castle painted like Bowser's castle...he still loves Mario.  We gave Brayden a peep bunny to try.  He took a taste and wasn't too sure at first but ended up eating the rest.  He doesn't usually pass up a good bite to eat!

Bryce's skills

Bryce got a kids digital camera for Christmas last year and has been very interested in taking pictures of everything lately.  He asked Bray and I to sit and say cheese for the camera...then he said, "mom, you need to put this picture on the blog to show off my camera skills"

Our little baker

Bryce loves working in the kitchen.  He is rolling some sugar cookies and decorating them with Easter sprinkles to have for a yummy Easter treat.

Breakfast!

Brayden is always very hungry for breakfast and loves to wake up to a big bowl of cheerios and a cup of milk.

Brayden loves to climb and get into anything he can.  I was unpacking last week and kept finding him either standing or sitting in his play racetrack.  He was very quiet about it too :)

Fun in the tent

Bryce and Bray have been having lots of fun playing in their handy manny tent.  They will chase each other in and out and play inside with books and puzzles together...they are great buddies!

Preschool song

Bryce is singing his preschool song they sing every morning!

Bryce's science songs

Bryce loves singing along with the songs on his science cd that he got from Aunt Amy and Uncle Jim. He asks to listen to his science cd every morning on the way to preschool!  Some of his favorites are songs about the elements, the bloodmobile, and the rainbow.  Here he is singing "the bloodmobile".

Dad was bowling with Bryce this night after supper and bray thought that was so funny!

Pizza party!

Bryce had lots of fun when Auntie Kim and Uncle Dani came over Saturday night.  He got to help put the toppings on the pizzas and eat some of the extras.  Brayden and Josiah played for a few seconds until Bray decided that was enough and crawled away.  It was a fun night for both boys :)

Can I talk?

Whenever Bryce spots me talking to dad on the phone he asks over and over if he can talk to dad for a little bit.  When I hand him the phone it usually goes something like this, "oh, thanks mom, can I have some privacy to talk to dad please."  He will walk around the house talking to dad for quite some time.

Brayden love

Brayden loves looking in mirrors and always gives himself a great big smile.  There is a mirror on this activity cube and he just can't stop smiling at himself :)

Reading

Brayden loves to read now and is constantly pulling all the books off the bookshelves and flipping through the pages.  He is very persistent and will not give up until he has the exact book he wants!

Cards

Papa made Bryce this card holder so we could play Uno with Bryce without seeing all of his cards.  Bryce loves it and always reminds us of the message papa put on it for us..."no peeking!"

Valentine's Day!!!

Bryce had a Valentine's Day party at preschool and was so excited to read all of his Valentine's cards when he got home Thursday.  He got all sorts of candy, cards, and surprises in his Valentine's goody bag. 

16 months old!

Brayden turned 16 months old this Valentine's Day.  He is still as curious as ever and finds a way to get into everything.  He was happy to see Gigi this week and was very cuddly.

Bryce's first day of preschool

Bryce was so excited to start going to preschool this year.  He has lots of new friends at preschool and lots of stories to tell about preschool over lunch when he gets home :)

Playing tag

Bryce and Bray love to play tag and chase each other around the house.  After a while Bryce will tell Brayden that he is worn out and needs a little break.  Brayden will stare at Bryce waiting for the game to start again.  Once Bryce has rested enough the boys will begin chasing again.

Wating for lunch

Bray is waiting so patiently for lunch after getting home from church this Sunday.  He is such a happy boy!

SNOW!

We took Bryce and Bray out to play in the snow after the first big snowfall of the year.  It was Bray's first time in the snow and he wasn't too sure about it but soon figured out it was impossible to crawl around and was not too happy from that point on! We decided to take him for a sled ride, but he didn't even crack a smile...so he went inside with mom to warm up.  Bryce loved the snow.  His favorite snow activity is having snowball fights.

Cookies for Santa!

Bryce had lots of fun decorating the Christmas tree with mom and dad. He got to put the star on the top of the tree and had no problem congratulating himself on what a good job he did :)  He also wanted to make some cookies special for Santa to leave out on Christmas Eve.  He picked out chocolate m & m cookies.  He read the instructions and mixed everything just for Santa.  He is counting down the days until we leave a plate of cookies and a glass of milk for Santa on the fireplace!

Bryce had a great time when we visited mommom and poppop.  His favorite part of the weekend was playing catch with his great grandpa!

Brayden loves anything to do with cars or trucks and recently has really been enjoying books.  He flipped through this board book one night for over an hour laughing every time he got to a certain page. 

BRYCE'S MARIO BIRTHDAY BASH

We had a great time at Bryce's birthday party.  There was a projector with a Wii hooked up for Super Mario Brothers and Mario Kart.  There was a Question Mark Pinata, a Mario cupcake Mural, and even a surprise showing of Baby Mario!

Bryce at bedtime

We had gotten some glow sticks for Brayden's birthday party and ever since Bryce is insistent that he has a glow stick for bedtime every night.  In the morning we will hear Bryce talking as he comes in our room using a glow stick to guide his way. 

Movie night

Brayden got comfy in the beanbag and enjoyed some apple juice while watching Arthur Christmas with the family....unfortunately once the juice was gone Brayden wasn't interested in movie night anymore :)  He is always on the go!
