A Bryce update...

Bryce loves strawberry newton cookies for a treat...as you can tell by his face after devouring one. After his 18 month appt yesterday, he weighed in at 25 lbs (25-50th %), 32" long (50th %), and his head was 19" (75th %). All in all, a very healthy and happy boy!

True love

Bryce just adores his daddy...I often find him right by the front door asking where daddy is. Every time he hears a car door shut or a car horn beep he thinks it must be dada. He runs excitedly over to the door shouting "dada". When I have to break the news to him that dad won't be home for a few hours he becomes quite upset. Tonight he wanted nothing more than to cuddle up with dad and read a good book!

The brownie bowl

Bryce ate so good this night at supper...gobbling down his chicken, peas, and applesauce that we decided to give him a little dessert. I guess he enjoyed it since he was determined to get every last bite :)

Quite a sight...

This was quite the sight to see when we walked into the living room...it was quite hot today, and Bryce kept pulling his diaper down while mom and dad kept trying to cover up his rear-end...an impossible task to accomplish.

Bryce and Great Aunt Julie!

Bryce enjoyed seeing his Great Aunt Julie again!

The guys!

Dad, Bryce, Samuel, and Uncle Damian are enjoying some Handy Manny during the shower...mostly to get Bryce to cool down and relax after an afternoon of running in which he got quite warm :)

Pizza

Bryce is enjoying some pizza with grammy before the baby shower started. I wonder if grammy got to eat any of the pizza???

Aunt Kristie's baby shower

Uncle Dave offered Bryce the chance to help open the baby gifts, but he preferred to just run around and have fun!

Bryce likes Soda?

Playtime at the Baby Shower

Bryce loved Uncle Dave's Brother Johan they ran and played for about a half an hour with Bryce squealing with delight.

Bryce's new bath toy

Dad got Bryce this special shampoo rinse cup for bath time. Bryce really dislikes rinsing his hair and all the water in his face. He usually waves his arms and tries to climb out of the tub. Since getting this special rinse cup, bath time has been much better...no water in Bryce's face! Bryce however, prefers to use this as a toy. He loves to fill it up with water and dump it out again and again. The rinse cup is so big and heavy that it appears like he is going to tip right over, but Bryce is determined to fill and empty it again and again.

Yuck

Bryce is attempting to get the food off of his hands tonight at dinner. He is not a fan of having dirty hands. While playing outdoors if he falls and gets his hands dirty he is quick to let you know he wants them cleaned off. Luckily, daddy was right there to clean his hands off after dinner this night :)

Say cheese!

Bryce is showing off his latest tooth that made it's arrival. The bottom right incisor finally came in...three other teeth are through the gums, but have yet to come in all the way.

Please...

Bryce still loves books. We have two shelves of books for him and still more in his toy chest. Every night I put them back nice and neat...and every morning he will take books off the shelf and bring them to me to read to him until the shelf is empty. He is very good about asking me please as he's handing me the book he wants to read.

"Yeah...Manny"

Bryce has a new Handy Manny blanket. When Handy Manny comes on in the morning he will get very excited, hop on his blanket, clap his hands, and shout "Yeah...Manny!" There's something about Handy Manny that he loves as he won't sit and watch any other cartoon like this!

Hats

Bryce was having fun trying on this tupperware and other items as hats.

Cooking with Bryce

Bryce is having fun pretending to cook!

Coloring....

Bryce is taking some time to color before lunch.

The only blanket for me...

Bryce has had this NY Yankees blanket since he was quite young. You can often get a quick hug and snuggle if you have it and he's tired.

Bryce and Nana

Bryce got to visit his nana and papa this weekend with daddy. Nana was nice enough to babysit on Friday night and Saturday while daddy was traveling with papa and mommy was at work. He had a great time with Nana!

Bryce and "Papa"

Bryce and daddy visited Nana and Papa this weekend. Bryce had a great time with lots of new things to explore. He is enjoying some time with papa here. When they got back home I asked Andrew how Bryce behaved in church...and got this report...he was fine except that he kept pointing to his papa, who was up on stage ready to preach, and saying "papa". So I guess Bryce got to enjoy some time outside of the Sanctuary where he could chatter freely :)

Mother's Day

It was you!!!!

Bryce loves being in the spotlight. While at dinner this night he would repeatedly say something while very excited that sounded like "it was you" while pointing to someone. He seemed to like to tell Grammy that it was her alot! We have yet to discover what anyone did :)

Family

Cousins

Bryce and Samuel enjoying some time outdoors!

Bryce's first carousel ride

Bryce rode on his first carousel while at the zoo. He chose the aardvark to sit on for his carousel ride. He enjoyed every second of his adventure and loved looking for dad as we went around and around.

The bird exhibit!

Bryce and dad before entering the new bird exhibit at the zoo. Mom was very content to wait outside where no birds were flying around her head. Bryce had a great time being in with the birds!

Legos!

The zoo had a few exhibits with animals made from legos...something we thought the boys might like to see :)

At the zoo....

Bryce and mom are watching the giraffes eat lunch at the zoo.

Multitasking....

Bryce is typing while also seeing if there's anything good on tv. Typing was a good activity to allow him to cool down after the 90 degree (very humid :() day we had!

I wonder who's having more fun?....
