9 months

Brayden is 9 months now and growing, growing, growing.  He is 30 1/4" tall and 21 1/2 lbs.  We found this train set in the store and gave it to him to play with in the cart.  He had his arm tucked around it all the way to checkout and had lots of fun playing with it when we got home.  He is growing up!

Being a helper

Bryce loves helping bray read.  Here he is working on teaching Brayden the rainbow by singing him the rainbow song.

Great mommom and Brayden

Brayden was very happy to see great mommom and poppop last week.  He had lots of room to roll and explore.  He snuggled right up to mommom and poppop and was quite content as you can tell!

Samuel and Bryce

Samuel and Bryce enjoyed playing with the kickball at mommom and poppop's house last week.  They also went to the creek and threw rocks and picked some flowers.  Quite a fun filled afternoon outside for the boys :)

Almost crawling!

Bray is trying to crawl in hopes of keeping up with his big brother.  He is getting there!

Reading

Bryce has always loved the alphabet, spelling, counting, and reading...now he is reading all by himself.  He is reading everything he sees now! Here he is reading a prayer out of his new Bible coloring book from Aunt Katie and Uncle Damian.

blueberry picking

kim went blueberry picking with us last week. bryce was very excited and did a good job although he kept wanting to pick the green berries. he is enjoying all the blueberry treats we have had since then

Big guy

bryce is getting quite independent as he's nearing his 4th birthday.  He loves to help mom with the housework.  His favorite job is using the vacuum and broom to clean the floors.  He also enjoys brushing his own teeth and always tells me what a good job he does!

Bray boy

Bryce just started calling Brayden "Bray boy"...not sure where he came up with this nickname but brayden always smiles when bryce calls him that.  bryce asks to hold brayden alot and loves to give him hugs and kisses.  He also likes to tell Brayden "no, no" and tells mom and dad that "no, no is a VERY good thing to say to Brayden!"  That's Bryce for you being the helpful older brother :)

So big!

Brayden is getting so big.  Some of his new favorite foods are blueberries and spaghetti.  He is getting lots of new teeth and is always showing them off with a big smile.  He is also close to crawling but can still get anywhere he wants to go by rolling.  We also found out he can get himself out of the bumbo seat.  I came into the living room to check on him where I had put him in his bumbo seat and found him in the dining room chewing on his favorite toy!  Of course I looked at him and he gave me a big smile.

Fun with our boys

Brayden loves this toy that Papa and Gigi got him for Easter.  He will play with it for hours and is none too happy when we have to put it away.  He is also getting lots of teeth which makes it difficult to feed him.  He bites the spoon and wont let you have it back. This particular morning, Bryce saw what Bray was doing and decided to imitate with his glass!

The Beach!

We heard about this great little beach close to our house from Nana and decided to visit this weekend.  Bryce loved playing on the beach and the playground.  Brayden liked the sandy beach and was content to splash his feet in the water a bit.

Baseball

bryce loves playing catch...just watch out for his "booger ball" that he sneezes on, this he learned from Yankee Irving in Everyone's Hero!

Enjoying the outdoors

Bray loves playing outside!

Wipeout party

Bryce loves the show wipeout and when he saw the season premiere was coming on we decided to plan a wipeout party.  We made oreo dirt cups and fruit salad.  About halfway through the show he decided to play wipeout and jumped repeatedly from the ottoman to the couch.  He is always full of energy!
