Bryce the big brother-to-be

We have been talking with Bryce about his new baby brother who is coming soon. He just recently discovered his brother moving in mom's belly. He will very gently place his hand on my belly and let out a huge giggle when his brother kicks his hand. Just today he came up to my belly and said "Baby brayden...you wanna come out and play with me?...c'mon let's play baby!" We think he's going to be a great big brother helping out:)

bryce's fort

Bryce has turned the kitchen table into his secret fort. He loves to have the occasional snack in his fort and usually takes all of his magnetic fridge letters and lines them up on the floor of his fort. he always has lots of fun there.

Stuffed animals

Bryce loves to have his stuffed animals right by his side at bedtime. we decided to have him sleep with us the other night when hurricane irene was coming through our area. we asked him to pick out one of his stuffed animals to sleep with and he came back from his room with his arms full...and all of his stuffed animals! He has named them all as well...manny (Handy manny), sheep the sheep, ry-ry the caterpillar, lightning mcqueen, mickey, bob the wolf, bullseye, and dada ( knoebels bear). he loves them all!

Rain boots

Bryce really loves to wear his rain boots around the house and wanted to wear them while coloring in his coloring book today.

Time for a bath...

I told Bryce it was time to hop in the tub and take a bath and he disappeared from the bathroom. I went looking for him and found a pair of feet sticking out from under his bed. He is getting better at hiding :)

Coloring cars

Bryce got some gifts in the mailbox from papa and gigi. He was very excited when he opened the envelope to find a cars coloring book, a tin whistle, a book and bookmark. He started coloring right away!

Just like daddy

Bryce loves watching and listening to dad play his guitar so when we got guitar hero out Bryce wanted to play like daddy! we got him his own guitar to play. He watched the screen when the music started and i could tell by the expression on his face he was trying very hard to figure out how the game worked. He started to get the hang of it and began strumming right along with dad.

Enjoying the last piece of pie :)

Bryce was happy to help mom and dad out by finishing the last piece of lime pie. He must have enjoyed his treat...it was gone in a matter of minutes!

Fishing

Bryce got a new outdoor toy this weekend...a sand table. we filled it with water for the end of the summer and he started fishing! The cover for the table even has a matchbox car racetrack on top which he says is "so cool!"

"H" and "T"

bryce is starting to draw letters...here he is showing how well he can draw an "H" and a "T".

Little Helper

bryce loves to help mom wash and put away the dishes. He is quite good at getting the clean silverware out of the dishwasher and into the drawer. Occasionally I will catch him putting one that dropped on the floor back in the drawer...or worse...one that he has licked back in the drawer. Don't worry, I always have a close eye on him and those go back in the dirty dish pile :)

Blue

Bryce is introducing his new fish Blue to the family!

Bryce's fishie!

Bryce went with mom and dad to petsmart yesterday to pick out his very own pet...a fish! He picked out this blue beta fish and was very excited to help dad put the rocks in the tank and watch his fish swim and eat. He told us he named his fish "Blue" and then when Blue was all settled he introduced Blue to the family!

A fun night

after spending hours of fun at the carnival we headed home to watch "Everyone's hero". Bryce loves watching baseball, especially the Yankees, so he really enjoyed this movie. we got one of bryce's favorite snacks, an apple, for him to snack on while we watched. at the end of the night he got to see some fireworks from the backyard and excitedly exclaimed the color of each one!

A fun game

Bryce wanted to play a game at the carnival so this operator was nice enough to help bryce. bryce was able to throw the dart and win a stuffed caterpillar....which of course he had to have along with bullseye, manny, sheep, and lightning mcqueen when he went to bed for the night. we asked him what he was going to name his new stuffed animal and he said, "ummm...caterpillar!". Quite original :)

The firetrucks

This was the first ride bryce asked to go on when we arrived at the carnival. He enjoyed it so much he ended up riding it about 5 more times that night! He rang the bell and drove like a pro.

The swings

Bryce went on the swings quite a few times and was quite interested in how this ride worked. he was constantly looking at the interior and top of the ride...i wonder if he figured it out yet :)

boats

Bryce is riding the boat ride at the carnival!

choo choo!

Bryce was thrilled when he saw he could ride a choo choo. he wasn't at all shy about talking to the other passengers on board either.

The airplanes

bryce really enjoyed the airplane ride at the carnival. He didn't smile much on the rides so we asked him if he was having fun...he replied with a quick "yep!" and then told us what ride he wanted to ride next.

Going to the carnival!

Bryce is excited because we are getting ready to go to the annual carnival at our local park!

Movie time

Bryce is enjoying a good movie snuggled up with dad!

Game time

Bryce enjoyed playing his new game (disney flippity find) with Kim.

Dani and Kim

Our good friends Dani and Kim came to stay with us this weekend. Bryce really enjoyed their company. He kept asking Saturday night at bedtime if Dani and Kim would be here the next day. When he woke up the next day the first thing he asked was "Hey, where are Dani and Kim?" He was very relieved to find them but pretty disappointed when they had to go back home to New York.
