Cowtown!

We took Bryce to the farmer's market while visiting NJ. He liked it when grampy, (or "papa" as Bryce likes to call him) would hold him because he felt tall and could see everything. He got some special toys from grammy and grampy too. We found a woody doll, this ball that made Bryce giggle nonstop, and some wildlife animals. To top it off, Bryce spotted some bananas and grampy got him a few of those too. They must have been pretty tasty because he would exclaim "mmmm" after every bite. He had a great time.

Picking up sticks

Bryce enjoyed playing in Grammy and Grampy's backyard. He helped collect some twigs, and logs, for the fire later that night.

Bryce all grown up

Sometimes Bryce still likes to be held and rocked like when he was a baby. It's then that we realize how big our little boy has gotten!

Lounging around

Bryce climbed up onto the couch this morning with "mimi" and curled up to watch the super readers. He seemed to be quite comfortable.

Auntie Kim

Bryce got to visit Kim a while ago and really enjoyed her blueberry cobbler!!! Yummm!

Picking rocks again!!!

Bryce had lots of grass to run and play in, but just preferred to go right to the driveway and start picking rocks out. He would find just the right rock, head over to a crack in the stairs, and throw the rock right in. He invented a pretty fun game for himself :)

Fishing

Poppop and Andrew went fishing during our visit. Bryce just had to test the seat out when they got home!

"Where's poppop?"

Bryce had a great time visiting his great mommom and poppop. He enjoyed snuggling with poppop and watching Handy Manny. He would often ask "where's poppop?" when he couldn't find him throughout the day.

Uh-oh

While visiting his great grandparents Bryce took a liking to this particular plant. He ran into it once and saw alot of the greens fall off. He picked the pieces up off the floor and kept trying to put them back on the plant. He kept trying for a while :)

Music

I'm not sure if Bryce liked playing the organ or turning the buttons on and off more!

Puzzles

Bryce loves puzzles. He also loves to make all the animal sounds while putting them together....such as, woof woof, baaaaa, neeeeeigh, and roooar to name a few!

The bathroom

You can now just expect Bryce to announce to everyone when you are entering the bathroom. If he sees you heading that way he will shout..."ahh pot, ahh pot". He also enjoys getting the door for you. Here he is closing the door for me while I was cleaning the bathroom.

Bryce's puppy

Bryce received this puppy from a family friend, Joyce. He loves pushing the button in the pillow. The puppy starts saying a prayer and Bryce starts giggling. This morning he did not want to put the puppy down and listened to the prayer quite a few times :)

Toy Story 3

We took Bryce to see Toy Story 3 a few weeks ago...he loved it! We had to go back to the theater a few weeks later and get a picture since we forgot the camera the night we saw the movie. Neither one of us thought that this might upset Bryce...apparently he remembered the movie theater well and thought we were going to see another movie. Bryce was a bit upset but recovered well when we had dinner outside together when we got home.

Clean up

Bryce loves washing his hands in the bathroom sink after playing outside or helping in the kitchen. This sink is the perfect size for him to get his hands and feet clean!

Sparkler fun!

Bryce is having fun watching dad light the sparklers. He became quickly disinterested however and resumed playing in the rocks and dirt.

The pool

Bryce enjoys going to play in the kiddie pool. He especially loves playing with all the fallen leaves that happen to be in or around the pool. He also loves his orange mega blocks car in the pool...he likes to drive it around and around on the edge of the pool. He had a great time at the pool on this warm day!

Cooling off in the pool

Dad and Bryce love to go to the pool. After these 95-100 degree days they love to go and splash around to cool off. Bryce especially loves the kiddie pool they have where he can splash around on his own. I think we'll be at the pool alot this summer!

The telephone

Bryce is now climbing alot...onto the couch, recliner, toybox, ottoman, etc. Tonight he saw the new telephone sitting on the couch so he excitedly got onto the couch and began pretend talking to someone...we're just not sure who!

Fourth of July Fun!

Bryce helped mom and dad decorate fourth of July cookies to celebrate. He enjoyed putting the sprinkles on the cookies...and eating them too of course!

Fireworks!!

Bryce really enjoyed the fireworks display this July 4th. We took plenty of books to read and matchbox cars to play with before they started. He kept shouting "oh, wow, whoa, yeah!!" as the fireworks were being set off. He had a great time!

Bryce's new cousin Aubrey :)

Bryce became a new cousin to Aubrey on July 1st. When we told him he had a new cousin, he couldn't stop talking and was very excited. When he saw a picture of Aubrey he was even more excited and couldn't stop saying " oohh, a baby!"

Big boy Bryce

Bryce loves asking for the potty and feeling like a grown up. Here he is reading one of his favorite books while using the potty.

The supervisor himself...

Bryce loves when Samuel comes to play with him...today he was acting as if he was supervising Samuel's play time...bringing him specific toys at certain times. He then proceeded to stand up very tall with his hands behind his back and watch Sam!

Sharing

I was very proud of Bryce...this is his favorite character from Handy Manny...Pat the hammer. He kept offering it to Samuel so he could play with Pat too :)

Cleaning Up

Bryce noticed me cleaning the floors today and asked me "mama please" so I let him give it a try. He did quite well and enjoyed himself!

Cousins

Bryce and Samuel are enjoying some Friday morning cartoons together!

The dancing machine

We recently took Bryce to see Toy Story 3 which he loved. When we got home that night he started laughing and dancing. Ever since, he has been in love with dancing...which is really him spinning around in a circle, waving his arms, and laughing :)

Playing outside

Bryce loves playing outside...especially with dirt and rocks! He was so nicely putting rocks into different containers, patting them down with his shovel until I heard him say "mama" very loud. I saw him smiling with a rock heading for his mouth. I got very nervous until I realized he was playing a game...he was pretending to eat the rock and laughing while he set it back in his bucket. He thought that was too funny!

Cuddling

Bryce doesn't often want to stop and cuddle with mom and dad anymore...he's too busy playing and exploring. I guess he just needed a good hug from mom and dad this night!

Bryce's fort

Bryce has taken a liking to playing in his newly discovered fort (under the dining room table). He loves to take his tractors and trucks and play with them under the table...and mom likes that she can cook and keep an eye on her little guy at the same time:)

Cookbooks!

I guess even mom's cookbooks make for a good read sometimes!
