Gingerbread house

Bryce and dad made a gingerbread house together this year. Bryce was glad to eat the frosting off of the mixer and was excited to find all the candy to put on the house.

Shopping

Bryce was pretending to go grocery shopping and I heard him say, "thank you for shopping at Giant, you come back later!"

Bryce loves Kung Fu Panda these days and will sing, "Kung Fu Panda, legends of awesomeness, sweet!" many times throughout the course of the day. He actually wanted to sing it for the camera today so I took the opportunity while I had the chance. Since he was so willing to perform for the camera I decided to add another slogan he came up and announced to me the other day while feeding Brayden..."lowes, lets build something together." I wonder what slogan he will come out with next?!

Bryaden is smiling and cooing more every day. We love talking to him and watching him study you with his bright blue eyes. He's such a happy baby:)

Brayden is 2 months

Brayden had his 2 month checkup at the doctors today. He is 24 1/4 inches tall and 13 lb 1 0z...very healthy and happy!

Bryce knows his slogans

While eating dinner one night with Papa Putzke Bryce grabbed a subway napkin and said, "subway, eat fresh!" a few weeks later Bryce asked dad if he wanted to go to olive garden...dad asked him why and he said, "when you're there, you're family!"

Picture time

Bryce is never very thrilled when we want to take a picture from him and usually tries to avoid getting his picture taken. I was taking pictures of Brayden this morning and Bryce decided to sneak into the picture and get in on the fun!

Football

Bryce loves playing football...he told us, "football is my favorite!"

Sleeping

Bryaden is a very happy baby just like Bryce was. He is now sleeping 10 hours at night and staying awake more during the day to watch Bryce play...that makes Bryce pretty happy!

Cookie pizzas

bryce found this recipe for cookie pizzas and wanted to test them out. he helped me mix up the cookies and bake them. When the cookies were in the oven he sat down in front of the oven and said, "okay, I will watch them for 10 minutes!" When it was time to frost and decorate he did a great job. His pizzas were topped with raisins, coconut, peanut butter chips, and sprinkles. He really enjoyed his pizza when all the hard work was done!

We got the boys ready to take a walk to see all the Christmas lights around our neighborhood. Bryce was very excited

Bryce got this cars 2 guitar from Uncle Scott and Aunt Beth for his bday. he loved being able to play just like dad.

Brayden is smiling more often these days. I found Bryce one morning standing over Brayden saying, "smile Brayden, smile for Bryce!" bryce said he wants Brayden to smile all the time :)

Decorating the tree

Bryce had fun helping us decorate the Christmas tree this year. he was very excited to see we had cookie cutter ornaments to hang...some being trains and gingerbread men! I found Bryce one day sitting by the tree looking at the presents. He touched one and said..."Is that for me?" I said yes and he said okay and started to open it. I stopped him and explained that we had to wait 25 days for Christmas. He said okay and then told me " I think you want to get a drink of water in the kitchen mom" I told him that's smart thinking until mom would come and find the open present.

Reading to Brayden

Bryce loves reading to Brayden. Today he decided to read his animal sounds book to Brayden...he was somewhat interested and maybe somewhat frightened when Bryce made all the animal sounds with enthusiasm :)

Brayden is nearing 2 months old and is growing quick. He is getting very tall and has outgrown his 3 month clothing already!

Bryce's tree

Bryce got this tree from Nana Ensign 2 years ago and loves to have it in his room. He carefully put ornaments on it and now enjoys having it in his room.

Big cousin Bryce

Bryce loves being the big cousin to Samuel and Aubrey. Bryce and Aubrey were playing together this morning and bryce said, "aubrey, I want to read you some books, c'mon" aubrey found a seat in the highchair and they read some books together :)

Bryce celebrated his birthday with cousin Samuel on Thanksgiving...they had a Cars 2 party. When we started to sing Happy Birthday to him he ran to Aunt Kristie and hid his head acting shy. When we finished he sprung to his feet and looked at everyone and said, "you wanna do that again!" I had a feeling he would love the attention as usual. He asked for a raspberry cake this year and really enjoyed it.

Toys R Us

Bryce was thrilled when we got out the Black Friday ads to look at...he went right for the Toys R Us ad and got a seat to look for some good deals!

Thanksgiving

Bryce and Brayden had a fun Thanksgiving this year. We explained why we celebrate Thanksgiving and asked Bryce what he was thankful for and he said, "my toys...and Jesus"

Bryce got lots of great birthday gifts and enjoyed helping dad open his too. He got lots of great books and was quite excited to read his new little critter collection book by his favorite author..."mercer mayer!"

Bryce's birthday

Bryce and dad had their birthday celebration at home a few days early. bryce was very excited when he saw all of his presents. He chose chicken nuggets, french fries, apple slices, and a juice box for his special birthday dinner. He loved all of his gifts and even helped dad open his gifts too

Bryce loves that Brayden is starting to stay awake more and play. Bryce likes to show him how he kicks a football and shoots a basketball.

My big boy...

Ever since Bryce began potty training dad would sing this song to him when he was done. Bryce just started singing it one day, 'my big boy went to the potty today, I'm so happy yeah yeah yeah!'. we laughed when we heard him and he smiled and asked us, "what's that funny for guys?", a classic bryce question when he knows he has done something cute that made us laugh.

Little Kentucky Fan

Brayden got a Kentucky Wildcats outfit from Aunt Darlys and Uncle Michael...we think he looks great in Kentucky blue!

1 month old

We can't believe Brayden is 1 month old already! He is now 10 lb and 22 inches long.

Brothers

Bryce loves being a big brother and loves to read Brayden books in the morning. Brayden loves to listen and seems very curious already!

"look mom, a big tower!"

Bryce and I decided to bake some pumpkin bars one morning. As I was gathering the rest of the ingredients from the cupboard I returned to find that Bryce had made a big tower out of the spices. Thankfully he didn't decide to crash the tower as is often the case with his towers made of blocks.

The bathtub

Brayden was not sure what to think of his first bath in the bathtub. He was much happier once the bath was done and he was wrapped up in a warm blankie!

Our boys :)

Mom tried to get some pictures of the two boys today. What I didn't count on was having the freshly ironed sheet (being used as our portrait backdrop) being quite so cool to Bryce. As soon as he saw it he grabbed it and wrapped himself up in it and started giggling. It was a challenge to keep a 2 week old and a 3 year old content at the same time but we did manage to get a few pictures with both boys cooperating! When we were done I think they were both wondering when mom was going to make them do this again! (probably soon :))
