Grocery flyers

Bryce loves reading over the grocery flyers. I was making dinner one night to find him seated at the table with the grocery flyers spread out on the table...I only wish he could make the grocery list!

Looking at the penguins at the zoo

"See the zebra, see the zebra!"

When we told Bryce Saturday morning that we were going to the zoo, the first question he asked was "see the zebra?" We said we would see a zebra at the zoo. He wasn't very interested in many of the animals until we got to the zebras and his face lit up. He even got a zebra book from the gift store on the way out.

Fun at the zoo

Bryce got to visit the goats at the zoo. He got to run around with them and brush them...then Uncle Damian got some food for them. Bryce held the food out for the goats and laughed when they took it from his hand...it was one of his favorite exhibits.

Dad and Bryce at the zoo!

"ooh ooh aah aah"

We visited the zoo last Saturday with Aunt Katie, Uncle Damian, and Samuel. Bryce got to see lots of monkeys and exclaimed "ooh ooh aah aah!"

Coloring fun

Books

Bryce is usually sitting right here reading some books when I come to get him in the morning. He loves the library and will sit by the kids books and read book after book on the shelf.

Puzzles

Bryce loves puzzles...he is having a great time putting together his new Disney alphabet puzzle before bed.

Papa and Bryce

Papa and Gigi Putzke came to spend the day with Bryce yesterday. Here he is relaxing with Papa while enjoying an episode of Handy Manny. Papa and Gigi got Bryce a baseball rug. He was very excited and didn't want to put the baseball rug down. When he woke up this morning, I went in his room to find the rug tucked neatly under his arm. He then started talking about papa and gigi and asking where his cousins were. We had a great day together.

"U"..."N"..."O"...yeah!!!

Bryce likes playing uno moo. He especially loves spelling the word "uno" over and over and exclaiming "yeah" while clapping and smiling. He will often look for the sheep first and put them in the barn. He also will say "I love blue" and pick up all the blue pieces and put them in the barn.

"build a big tower with me dada?"

Bryce loves building big, tall towers with his megablocks. He often asks one of us "will you build a big tower with me?"...how can you say no to that! On this occasion, dad and Bryce built a tower as tall as Bryce himself. When the last piece was on Bryce started sprinting in circles around the tower, eventually getting dizzy and knocking the tower over!

Bryce loves his yard!

Bryce loves having a yard to play in. He usually takes a stroll around the perimeter of the fence before playing. He likes to see if the dogs next door are out...he thinks they're a ton of fun. Dad will often scoop him up and let him look over the fence at the dogs. He also loves playing t-ball and mowing the lawn.

Ready!

Bryce loves this remote control car he got from Uncle Damian and Aunt Katie a while ago. He is chasing it around the house here...pausing for a minute while dad stops the car to change strategies. He also loves to drive the car...not so sure the furniture loves when Bryce is driving :)

Woody and Buzz at Dairy Queen!

We took Bryce to see Woody and Buzz at our local Dairy Queen. From the moment we stepped into the Dairy Queen and he saw them he kept exclaiming "it's woody, buzz, oh hey, woody, buzz!" He got his picture with them and got to see them as he enjoyed his kids meal. When we were ready to leave he wanted to say goodbye and got another picture and even gave woody a high five!

"big tower"

Bryce likes to build "big towers" with this mega blocks. He will name the color of each block as he places it on the tower. He really enjoys building until the tower falls over...

Leaving the park

Bryce was a bit upset when leaving the playground. Mom explained to him that we would come back again soon...and he soon stopped crying and resumed picking up and tossing twigs every few feet on the walk home.

At the park

Bryce enjoyed some time at the park this weekend. The park is now within walking distance...something mommy and Bryce will really enjoy this summer!

Daddy and me

Bryce is taking a walk with dad.

Tired boy

Bryce often has trouble taking naps when there are visitors in the house. He had trouble this weekend when Nana and Papa were here. Needless to say, he tired himself out and by the end of this day after being out and about Bryce had fallen asleep in the car. He got a quick nap on the couch before supper.

Taking a walk with Nana and Papa

Nana and Papa Ensign came to visit this weekend...Bryce had a great time with them. He enjoyed going on walks and going to the park.

Testing out my new tricycle

Bryce got this tricycle from uncle dave and aunt kristie. He tested it out this past weekend. He is tall enough to ride but has yet to figure out the pedaling part of the process. I don't think it will be long until he's tricycling all over town!

The stairs

Bryce loves to climb up and down the stairs all day. He is quite a pro at this point. One night after forgetting to close his bedroom door we heard the tv come on very loudly. We looked at the clock to see it read 4:15 am. As I walked down the stairs I saw Bryce lounged on the couch watching the news with the tv volume set to 95. He saw me and casually said, "oh, hey mama". He was sick that night with a cold so he got to stay up and watch one cartoon with the volume scaled back to 10!

Books

Bryce's favorite spot in his room is probably right next to his book shelf. He loves reading his books first thing in the morning when he wakes up and right before bed at night.

Bryce's big boy bed!

Since moving into the new house Bryce has transitioned from a crib to a big boy bed. He loves his new bed and especially loves reading books with mom and dad before bed. The first morning he woke up after sleeping in his new bed he kept knocking on the door saying "open the door, see mama!". I guess that would be my wake up call :)
