Hooked on phonics

Bryce loves finding objects around the room and asking us to spell them. He spells right along with us. He also likes to sound out words now and is doing a great job. He is sounding out "jam" and "dog" in this video!

The aquarium

We took Bryce to the Atlantic City aquarium while on vacation. he was very excited to go see the fishes and kept asking if we were going to see nemo. he was quite excited to find out that nemo was there! He watched the fish and studied them for quite some time at the aquarium.

Ocean city boardwalk

After the beach one day we headed for the boardwalk. We stopped to get a mango water ice which bryce eagerly shared with mom and dad. At the end of the boardwalk we took bryce for a game of mini golf. He did a great job and got a few holes in one. however, there were a few occasions when he got tired of putting that he picked the ball up and rolled it into the hole. he even helped mom and dad out a few times with their turn!

Bryce loved the beach this year. He loved playing with his trucks in the sand and making racetracks. He would always ask mom and dad to make some towers out of sand and then destroy them with his trucks. He didn't mind getting sandy either and was covered in sand every time we went.

Fun at the zoo!

We visited the Cape May county zoo while on vacation this year. Bryce especially loved the turtles, snakes, ducks, and zebras at the zoo. He was so excited to see the animals he even cheesed for a few pictures with mom and dad!

Bryce at the hotel

Bryce loved that he got to sleep in the sofa bed at the hotel room. The first night he had worn himself out so much that he told us it was time for him to go to bed at 7:30. He fell asleep with one of his favorite sleeping buddies bullseye. As we waited for Bryce to fall asleep the next few nights we would often see bullseye galloping in the air. Bryce had a great time in the hotel with bullseye!

The beach

We visited Ocean City while on our family vacation this year. Bryce loved the beach...especially playing in the sand with his beach toys. He thought it was pretty funny when dad buried his legs in the sand. he kept saying, "uh-oh I'm stuck!" while giggling and digging the sand away.

bryce's new slide

Bryce loves the playground so much we decided to get him a climber and slide for the backyard. We had it disassembled in the car so we could get it home. Bryce kept asking to put the slide together throughout the ride home. He has really enjoyed his new slide.

"Homerun!"

Bryce loves playing t-ball and on this occasion thought every hit he made was a "homerun!"

gardening

Finally, after all of Bryce's hard work putting dirt in the garden and watering the vegetable plants he got to help mom and dad pick some ripe produce off the plants. He was most excited about the green peppers which he loves. He also enjoyed quite a few of the cherry tomatoes with supper.

Home run derby

Bryce enjoyed watching the home run derby with mom and dad. When they threw a pitch he would shout...and when they got a homerun he would exclaim "homerun!!!, wanna try again?". I don't know if he had more fun watching the home run derby or watching himself on video watching the home run derby...which he thought was just hilarious!

Neat and organized!

Upon entering 'bryce's room after his nap one day we found him with a big smile on his face and his cars pullups lined up on the floor nice and neat. We are sure he was admiring all the cars characters on them. This has now become a daily occurrence that just makes mom and dad smile when they see it.

birthday fun

Aubrey let everyone open her gifts which made for some very happy kids! Bryce joined right in and had fun helping out.

Buddies

Bryce found a buddy to play with at Aubrey's birthday party. Joshua and Bryce played together and had lots of fun. They both showed their energetic sides when they started wrestling and laughing. They were great buddies for the day!

Aubrey's first birthday!

We went to NYC to celebrate cousin Aubrey's first birthday party this weekend. All three cousins were thrilled when I got the matchbox cars out to play with.

Visiting friends

We visited our good friends Kim and Dani last weekend. Bryce had a great time and really enjoyed the brownie sundaes that aunt Kim made. He also had a great time playing on their deck and in the backyard with the rocks. Here he is flashing a big smile with Uncle Dani.

Helping dad

Dad was in the garage getting his bike ready for a bike ride and Bryce was anxious to help. He was very intent of fixing the bolt on the back wheel of the bike which he said was broken. He tried the wrench first and then moved on to using the socket set next. He did a great job and we think he is going to be very helpful with repairs soon!

Slippers

Bryce found his mickey slippers in the closet and brought them up to me with a concerned look on his face. He said, "look mama, my slippers are broken!" Daddy fixed the unknown problem and then Bryce really wanted to wear them. Despite the 90 degree heat, Bryce insisted on keeping them on while he played with his matchbox cars!

Fireworks!!!

Bryce loved the fireworks again this year. he had lots to say about the fireworks....most of the conversation went like this..."can i say hi to the fireworks mama?, "Hi fireworks, my name is Bryce and this is mama and dada, what's your name?" "you wanna say hi to the fireworks mama?" he also loved to watch to see what color the fireworks were going to be and shout out the color. He had lots of giggles and smiles during the fireworks display!

movie time

After our BBQ we made some popcorn for our movie. bryce thought it was so cool watching the kernels pop on the stovetop. he also enjoyed eating the popcorn during the movie "over the hedge"!

BBQ

We enjoyed a BBQ this 4th of July. Bryce especially enjoyed the sweet corn and watermelon!

Fourth of July fun at the park!

We went to our local park this 4th of July to celebrate with Bryce. There were firetrucks and antique cars to look at. Unfortunately, due to the high heat, we only stayed for a few hours...dad carried Bryce home...Bryce said he couldn't walk because it was too hot...he was full of energy when we got home though :)

I love nana

Nana took Bryce to Sunday School Sunday morning and bryce had a great time listening to a Bible story and making a craft. after church he got to play outside with nana...he had quite a fun day!
