Christmas tree cakes :)

Bray was recovering this week from being sick and felt alot better once he had a taste of a Christmas tree cake.  He gets pretty excited now when I get the box from the cupboard.  I'm sure we'll be buying these every Christmas for someone from now on :)

Playing in the snow!

We haven't had much snow this winter so when we finally got some we went out with the boys to go sledding, make snow angels, and play ball.  we had lots of fun!

candy cane ornaments

Bryce enjoyed making some candy cane ornaments this year for the tree.

The poinsettia

As we got the Christmas decorations out this year Bray couldn't help but touch this poinsettia.  We put it in his shopping cart for him and he was quite happy.  I soon found out it was not okay to take the poinsettia back out of the cart though.

Decorating the tree

Bray helped us decorate the Christmas tree this year.  He piled 5 or 6 ornaments on one branch and was pretty pleased with himself :)

Bryce's 5th birthday!

Bryce was thrilled to be able to go to Chuck E Cheese for his birthday.  After lots of fun at Chuck E Cheese Bryce wanted to go to A and W for a birthday dinner.  Bray enjoyed his dinner too...especially the hush puppies from long John Silver's!

Frosting Fall cookies!

Bryce had fun frosting some Fall cookies.  I caught him licking the frosting off the spatula and the sprinkles out of the bowl more than once.  I told him what a wonderful job he did and he told me I should try one. I simply told him they were too beautiful to eat and he said, "aww, thanks mom. That's so nice of you to say!'

Bray and the great outdoors!

Bray loved our trip to Smithome farms.  He ran around exploring everything he could.  He fell in the mud a few times but got himself right back up and started going again.  A little dirt and mud never bothers Bray!

The boys are leading the way...

After we finished the corn maze we ended up in the pumpkin patch.  The boys were more interested in the mud and dirt however.  They took off down the path together enjoying all the open space to run :)

Fall Family Fun!

Josiah and the corn maze

Aunt Kim and Josiah came with us to Smithome Farms.  Josiah and I walked through the corn maze together.  He had lots of fun exploring and was very good at escaping thorough the stalks of corn very quickly!

Fun at Smithome Farms

We took the boys to Smithome Farms this Saturday for some fall fun!  Bryce loved the corn maze...Bray loved the mud and dirt!  Both boys had lots of fun.

Bryce at School

Bryce loves kindergarten and is doing a great job.  He was excited one morning when I told him he would have to order breakfast at school.  He had wanted to do this for a while and was very excited.  He held on tight to his breakfast money.  He told me I could oversleep tomorrow too if I wanted to.  He also loves doing his homework.  He brought home his math book one day and announced we better get to work.  He also has English homework every week and always finishes it ahead of time.  We are very proud of our Kindergartener!

Playing

Brayden is playing with some toys papa made for him.  He still insists on pushing Freddie the Frog along instead of pulling him but he loves him just the same.

Brayden's 2nd Birthday!

Brayden had lots of fun at his birthday party with his family.  We took him to Sweetfrog for some frozen yogurt on his birthday and he had no problem eating it all :)  We love our sweet 2 year old!

All boy...

Bray is all boy!  He will use anything he can find to push around the house...in this case he decided to use the entry table from the foyer.

SweetFrog finally!

Bryce saw that we were getting a new frozen yogurt shop in town and said when it opened we had to go there.  We tried for a few days but the line was always out the door.  He finally got a chance to get some frozen yogurt from SweetFrog Wednesday night.  He chose mango tango and loved it.  We also found out that the Frog in the SweetFrog name stands for "Fully Rely On God"...we'll definitely be going back for some more frozen yogurt soon!

So curious...

Brayden is a very curious 2 year old :)  I will often find him walking around carrying a loaf of bread, a jar of peanut butter, or a box of cereal.  He loves to explore the pantry.  He can always make us smile!

The Fun Run!

Bryce ran in the Fun Run at school last weekend.  He decided to run all 3 miles so he could get a medal.  He did a great job running with dad and had a fun time.

Chasing

The boys' favorite activity is to chase each other back and forth downstairs.  They will do this for quite a while, squealing and laughing until they both get worn out.

Big boy!

Bryce is quite a kid.  He is loving kindergarten, doing great with his schoolwork, and has made lots of friends.  While walking him to his class one morning I hear a girl his age say "Hi, Bryce!".  He says hello back and then the girl turns to her brother and says excitedly, "that's the boy I was telling you about, that was him, that's Bryce!"  Her brother replied exasperated, "I know, I know, I heard all about him last night!"  When I looked at Bryce he had a big smile on his face.  I wish I knew what she was telling her brother that night!

All smiles!

Brayden is such a happy soon-to-be 2 year old.  He loves to climb, run, and play catch.  He misses playing with  Bryce when he is at kindergarten but as soon as he hears the bus coming he gets a big smile on his face.

Sweets!

Brayden has quite the sweet tooth.  He loves this coffee cake that we make and is never too full for a piece :)

Open House

Bryce had an open house at school this week.  He was very excited to show us his school and all the work he has been doing in kindergarten!

Bryce's first day of kindergarten!!!

Bryce was so excited to start kindergarten this year.  He was so excited the morning of his first school day that he couldn't eat breakfast and could hardly sit still.  After his first day he told me "that was the best day I have ever had mom!".  On the third day of school we were walking home from the bus stop and he said to me, "wow mom, this lunchbox is really heavy to carry!"  I asked him why since he already ate his lunch.  He replied matter-of-factly, "well, I wasn't really hungry for my lunch, so I bought my lunch...I had a sub, grapes, green peppers and chocolate milk.  It was great".

On the go...

One of Brayden's favorite activities is playing basketball.  He also loves to play soccer and kick the ball back and forth.  He is very active and often needs a quick break to get his energy back :)

Big boy!

Playing games

Bryce and Bray have alot of fun together.  Bray started to "feed" Bryce some play food and thought this was just too funny!

Walking

Brayden is making alot of progress with walking since he got his braces.  He walks all around the house now, pivoting, turning, and feeling pretty proud of himself.  We are proud of him too!

Goldfish

Brayden loves getting into cupboards.  Today he found one of his favorite treats in the cupboard....goldfish!  He saw me coming to clean up the goldfish and he started eating them as fast as he could.  This reminds me of another little boy who spilled m and ms at this age and ate them as fast as he could when he saw mom coming to clean them up :)

The tunnel

Bryce and Bray love this tunnel we got them.  They chase each other in and out of the tunnel for hours!

On the news!

Bryce and Samuel got taped for a newscast while playing mini-golf at Harris Hill!
