Bryce's special day!

Bryce recently started potty training and has done very well. He will come and ask me to get on the potty (his being the fisher price frog potty he picked out at babies-r-us), grab a book to read while on the potty, and say "all done". His rewards for going on the potty are stickers. I thought today I would reward him with having him help me bake some cookies. As he was helping me put the chocolate malted milk cookies on the tray he decided to try a bite out of a few of the unbaked cookies (no worries...they were egg free!) and then put them back on the tray to bake. He also helped me sprinkle the powdered sugar on top and taste test one when they were finished....the result...Bryce felt very proud of himself both for going potty and baking cookies all by himself...he even cheered and clapped for himself :)

Father's Day in Ocean City

We celebrated Father's Day this year in Ocean City. Bryce enjoyed the beach, rides on the boardwalk, and frozen custard!

Wonderland fun

Bryce enjoyed riding on some of the kiddie rides on the boardwalk with dad on Father's day. He especially enjoyed the frog ride where the frog hopped up and down. Every time his frog came around, he had a huge giggle and smile for mom!

Bryce enjoyed playing skee ball at the arcade. He also won a prize out of the claw machine, but was really just interested in all the buttons and gadgets!

Bryce is enjoying the beach with mom and dad. He enjoyed picking seashells and sand by the handfuls and throwing it in the ocean. He was also thrilled by all the space to run and play.

Getting ready for Father's Day

This is Bryce helping mom pack for our Father's Day trip to Ocean City. Bryce got a new pair of Handy Manny swim trunks for the occasion. He packed his own bag of toys and books...and did quite well!

Bryce loves being outside by the creek bed. He usually heads straight for the creek when we take him outside.

A yard-sale find...

We recently visited family in Rochester. Aaron and Ryan had this lawn mower which Bryce fell in love with. We happened to find the same one at a yard sale for 50 cents. Dad is having a great time mowing the lawn this night...Bryce got distracted and headed straight for the creek to toss rocks in!

Bubbles

Bryce enjoys eating dinner outside alot these days. This night after dinner, dad got the bubbles out and Bryce enjoyed trying to catch them.

Sharing!

Bryce is so kindly sharing his book with cousin Samuel and even helping him read it. Bryce was mommy's little helper while Sam stayed with us...bringing me diapers, wipes, and bottles for Sam!

"Baby...oh the baby!"

Bryce's cousin Samuel came to spend the night with us this week. Bryce couldn't stop saying "baby" the whole visit. When I got him up from his naps he would excitedly ask "where's the baby?". Bryce had a great time reading with Sam and sharing his toys with him.

The pool

Dad set up the pool for Bryce on our back patio this week. Bryce loves to splash around after dinner. He especially enjoyed playing with his orange car in the water this day.

At the creek...

Bryce loves to play at the creek. As we were taking a walk this night, Bryce led us right to the creek behind our house. He loves to throw pebbles into the water and see them splash. He proceeded to sit down on the rocks and dug two big holes on either side of him...when he ran out of pebbles he was just as happy to dig in the dirt.

A fun weekend for Bryce!

Bryce fell fast asleep a minute or so after getting on the road to head home after our fun weekend in Rochester. He had a great time seeing family, playing outside, and going to the museum.

Wegmans!

This was the highlight of the Strong Museum for Bryce. A wegmans where he can have his own cart and go shopping. He had a great time picking food off the shelves and checking out at the register. At times he became so excited he began putting food into other shopper's carts!

Buttons!

We visited family in Rochester, NY Memorial Day weekend and took Bryce to the Strong Museum. He was quick to find the buttons to push in this exhibit!

Fun in the tub

Bryce enjoyed splashing around in the tub with cousin Ryan. This was a much needed bath for Bryce after playing in the sandbox and pool and topping the day off with some pizza for dinner.
